Frederic Kerrest is the Executive Vice Chairman, Chief Operating Officer, and Co-Founder of Okta, the leading provider of enterprise identity. Frederic co-founded Okta in 2009 with Todd McKinnon and sets corporate priorities to drive success for the company and its employees, partners, and customers. Frederic has over two decades of experience as an entrepreneur in the enterprise technology space, with proven success founding, leading, and advising companies of all sizes. Prior to Okta, he worked in sales and business development at, and in venture capital at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners. He also co-founded and co-hosted the award-winning podcast Zero to IPO. The show features interviews with both leading and up-and-coming Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and investors, offering insight for other startup founders on building and managing successful companies. In addition, Frederic serves on the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship Executive Advisory Board, advising early-stage software companies. Frederic is also the Chairman and Co-Founder of System1 Biosciences, a neurotherapeutics company. Frederic earned a B.S. in computer science from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he was the 2008 MIT Patrick J. McGovern, Jr. Entrepreneurship Award recipient.
