These fast-growing European companies are just a sampling of this year's top contenders.

Meet the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in Europe

    Second to none

    In cities like Verona and Paris, fast-growth European startups are quickly becoming peerless--even when compared with companies in more renowned entrepreneurial hubs. Speaking of, here's Inc.'s list of the 10 fastest-growing, private European companies of 2018.

    10. Adikteev

    This Paris-based adtech company, led by (from left) co-founders Frédéric Leroy, Xavier Mariani, and Emilien Eychenne, focuses on "moment advertising," by streaming data for targeted ad campaigns. It took in more than €17 million in 2016 revenue, up 6,143% since 2013.

    9. MP Vatservices

    Based in Madrid, this logistics company offers trucks and transporters a hands-free way to pay tolls and fees with this electronic toll collector. Founded in 2008, the company took in a whopping €139 million in 2016, a 6,542% increase from 2013.

    8. Forsee Power

    Led by CEO Christophe Gurtner, this Paris-based electric company specializes in smart battery systems. It boosted its revenue by 7,282% in the three years prior to 2016, when it booked over €17.5 million. 

    7. Interskol-Alabuga Power Tools

    Located just outside of Moscow, the power tool manufacturer, which makes products such as this rotary hammer, saw its revenue jolt 7,543% to €​18.5 million in 2016, up from €243,216 in 2013.

    6. Octavian

    The gaming software company based in Bussolengo, Italy, in the province of Verona, took in €​20 million in 2016 sales, an 8,585% increase since 2013. Octavian had just 13 employees in 2016.

    5. Maxi Mobility

    Based in Madrid, this seven-year-old logistics and transportation company is the developer of Cabify, an on-demand car service. It reeled in more than €64 million in 2016 sales, up 9,119% in the three years prior.

    4. Tamitrip

    Located just north of Madrid is Tamitrip, an events service specializing in corporate outings and conferences. It more than doubled its staff (to 31) and raised its revenue (€​31.6 million in 2016) by 11,309% since 2013.

    3. New Teck Well Service

    This oil and gas fracturing company located in Nefteyugansk, Russia (just south of the Ob River), booked more than €48 million in 2016 revenue. That was up 11,978% since 2013. 

    2. Restel Fast-Food

    The Helsinki fast-food powerhouse grew to more than 260 employees in 2016 (up from four in 2013) after partnering with big brands like Burger King and Taco Bell. Led by Mikael Backman, its revenue skyrocketed to €30 million, up 13,601% since 2013.

    1. SumUp

    This five-year-old London-based mobile credit card reader and point of sale company tops Inc.'s 2018 list, having taken in nearly €56 million in 2016 sales, and growing 14,367% since 2013. Headed by Daniel Klein, SumUp had 500 employees in 2016.
