As a recent addition to the Las Vegas Strip, the Cosmopolitan has taken a different approach to social media from the start. The hotel's website launched March 15, 2010, six months before the hotel opened.  In June of 2010, it launched its Twitter, Facebook, and Flickr accounts. Various locations in the Cosmopolitan were also added to Foursquare. Following in the trendsetting image of the hotel, social media is not used only to self-promote, but mostly to "engage our audience and tell them about us, the world around us and what we're interested in." Follow the accounts for updates on what's happening around Las Vegas, and around the Cosmopolitan. Sure, they never mention rates, but don't think they aren't watching or listening. Reps from @Cosmopolitan_LV are online constantly, watching their brand, and commenting where appropriate.
