It may be the most wonderful time of the year for retailers, but the holiday season can be stressful for consumers on a budget. Everyone expects a gift, cousins and co-workers alike. And statistics say you’ll get into the giving spirit, regardless of monetary constraints--only 27 percent of gift-givers plan to actually stick to their holiday spending budget, according to a national survey of more than 500 parents ages 25-64 conducted by Upromise, Sallie Mae company. Another 27 percent don’t even have a holiday spending budget.
