Absurdly Driven looks at the world of business with a skeptical eye and a firmly rooted tongue in cheek.

Whenever Starbucks does something new, teenagers shiver with excitement.

And baristas shiver and mutter: "I get up at 3 a.m. for this?"

So it is, as America's next great marketing opportunity approaches, there is shuddering in the barista firmament.

It seems, you see, that Starbucks is launching something very special for Halloween: the Zombie Frappuccino.

Should you already be frightened by the idea, you are not alone.

"We are getting a new Halloween frappuccino at work #zombiefrappuccino and I'm scared because it's colorful like the #unicornfrappuccino," tweeted barista Anthony Figueroa.

And then there was this from another barista.

It seems, you see, that baristas aren't moved by the idea of making a "special" drink that's an especially painful concoction to put together.

Still, you might look at this thing and think: "Goodness, doesn't that look a lot like the Unicorn Frappuccino?

I tried this pink joy in April and found it rather distasteful. Many baristas found it disturbed their lives too.

You, though, because you only care about yourself, want to know what makes the Zombie Frappuccino especially scary.

Well, it apparently enjoys Green Caramel Apple Powder and Pink Powder. And then there's the Pink Whipped Cream Made Out of Brains.

I'm not sure whether that's supposed to be figuratively or literally.

Still, the Zombie Frappuccino is surely a wondrous idea that will succeed to frightening levels.

After all, most people who wander into Starbucks first thing in the morning look like Zombies anyways.

Finally, a drink made with them in mind.
