With more than 562 million users, LinkedIn is a useful tool if you want to connect with influential people in your space or get noticed by recruiters who hold the keys to your next great gig. But just like anywhere online, people do better or worse jobs of curating their online profiles, starting with the first thing others notice--the photo.
It turns out that people in certain industries tend to do better in that regard. Background and social media screening firm JDP studied 2,000 LinkedIn photos across 11 industries, ranking them according to factors which make for a good or bad image.
