Richard Branson has quoted him. So has Oprah Winfrey, Pink, Derek Jeter, and, yes, the Pope.

He has been called the most quoted man alive. And he happens to be my next door neighbor in Port Washington, New York.

Every month I host a White Elephant dinner party. It is an incredible Jefferson-dinner-style event that combines some of the most successful and interesting people from a wide variety of fields. I am grateful to have recently hosted the most quoted man alive, Steve Maraboli, as a guest. Steve is a global keynote speaker, best-selling author, behavioral scientist, and has been quoted in over three thousand books!

Dozens of people have even uploaded tattoos of his quotes.

Steve has been quoted by countless world leaders and celebrities. The range is far and wide but it also includes: Tim McGraw, Hoda Kotb, Paris Hilton, Common and more.

Below are my nine favorite quotes from Steve Maraboli:

  1. Every time I thought I was being rejected from something good, I was actually being re-directed to something better.

  2. Life doesn't get easier or more forgiving; we get stronger and more resilient.

  3. A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.

  4. Happiness is not the absence of problems; it's the ability to deal with them.

  5. If you want to find happiness, find gratitude.

  6. My scars tell a story. They are a reminder of times when life tried to break me, but failed. They are markings of where the structure of my character was welded.

  7. She is delightfully chaotic; a beautiful mess. Loving her is a splendid adventure.

  8. Endless love is fueled by endless friendship. If you want to have the greatest romance ever, have the greatest friendship ever. Cultivate it; do not let your friendship die. Remember, it's not a lack of love that destroys relationships; it's usually a lack of friendship.

  9. Go ahead, underestimate me. You won't be the first... You won't be the last... But you WILL be wrong.
