Holiday shopping can be stressful. With so many friends and family members to shop for, ensuring you get everything you want on time can be difficult.

That's especially true in a world where online shopping reigns supreme. And just because you order something today, it doesn't necessarily mean that it'll get to you in time for the holidays. Slow shipping, delays at the distribution center, or a faulty shopping experience can derail your shipments, even if you made purchases well in advance.

But at least some online retailers are looking to address that problem. From Amazon to Apple, there are seven big retailers right now offering the opportunity for you to place orders ahead of the holidays and ensure you actually get what you ordered in time.

So, if you still need to cross off some items from your shopping list and are concerned about getting your shipments in time, go with the seven retailers below. They all offer expedited shipping with a promise of on-time, pre-holiday delivery. And best of all, they offer it all for free.

Here's a quick look at the retailers you need to get expedited shipping this holiday season:

Of course, it's no surprise Amazon made the list. The e-commerce giant has been offering free shipping to its Prime members for years. And with free one-day shipping to those Prime members, you could technically order items right up to the last day of the holiday season and still have a shot at getting your products.

If you're not a Prime member, Amazon says orders need to be placed by December 14 to ensure free delivery by Christmas.

Looking to buy an iPhone or Mac this holiday season? Apple is offering free two-day shipping until Christmas. The company says that its free shipping deadline for two-day service is December 20. If you opt for overnight delivery (an extra fee will apply, however), you can order as late as December 23 to ensure a Christmastime delivery.

Wireless carrier AT&T is getting into the free shipping swing of things. The carrier is offering free standard shipping on all orders, with a promise to get your phone or other item to your door by Christmas if you order before December 17. You can push it to December 19 if you choose expedited shipping at checkout.

Best Buy

Best Buy offers a slew of devices, including everything from appliances to smartphones. In some of those bigger items, shipping might be delayed because they're considered freight. But for most products Best Buy sells, the company is offering free shipping through Christmas. As of this writing, the company hasn't updated its shipping page to detail when you'll need to order by to get your products. But expect it to be around the same time as the others.

Like many of the others in this roundup, Microsoft is offering free standard shipping through the holidays. However, the company said that you'll need to order by December 14 in order to ensure your standard shipping gets to you in time for Christmas. If you choose expedited shipping at checkout, you can wait until December 20 to order your products. Be aware, however, that some fees may apply.

Nordstrom is getting in on the free shipping fun this holiday season. On the many products Nordstrom sells, you can get free standard shipping with guaranteed pre-Christmas delivery until December 16. However, if you're a little late to the game, you can choose expedited shipping at checkout and get your order in time for Christmas up until December 20. Be aware, however, that Nordstrom will hit you with a fee on expedited shipping.

Zappos has, by far, one of the most impressive free shipping policies this holiday season. Whether you choose standard shipping or expedited shipping at checkout, the company is promising you get your order in time for Christmas, as long as you order as late as 4 p.m. PST on December 23.
