You may have noticed that things look a little different around here. A little cleaner and easier to navigate. A little more dense with content. And a little richer with the voices of entrepreneurs like you. It’s all intentional, and I hope you like it.

The sleeker and more beautiful part of the new home page is the handiwork of’s talented designer Haewon Kye. I think her new design makes it easier for you to find your way around the home page. It certainly makes it easier for us editors to point out what we think is our best content right now.

 The denser and richer part of the new home page comes from the team of dedicated editors who bring you every day.  For the past few months they’ve been tapping their contacts among the owners of some of the country’s most successful small businesses and inviting them to regularly impart their ideas, strategies and war stories about how to succeed. No one, after all, knows more about what you go through every day than another business owner.

 So over the course of a month, you’re going to see regular columns from successful founders and CEOs like Paul Spiegelman, Jessica Herrin, Nolan Bushnell, Naveen Jain, Paul Hurley, and Donna Wells. You should also look out for columns by professionals who regularly advise business owners, like Silicon Valley’s Harry Weller, Harvard’s Robert Steven Kaplan, and Columbia’s Hitendra Wadhwa. And you’ll still find all the great journalistic stories you’ve always expected from the publication that has been helping business owners succeed since 1979. Some things don’t change.
