Mark Cuban became a billionaire by selling his shares in video company Broadcast.com at the height of the U.S. tech bubble, but the serial entrepreneur says that today, the stock market is a completely different beast.
"Back then, every other commercial you saw was [about] day trading and every other story you heard was somebody making a killing day trading some stock," Cuban said at Inc.'s GrowCo conference. "Now it’s almost impossible to really be good at trading stocks because there’s so much money chasing it."
Despite the feeding frenzy in today's stock market, Cuban is not scared of another tech bubble bursting.
"It’s definitely not a bubble," he said. "I had seen the PC bubble come and burst [and] I had seen the local area and wide area networking bubble come and burst. I don’t think we’re in that type of scenario again."
