Welcome to the 229th episode of the Inc. Uncensored podcast, hosted by Inc.'s editor in chief, James Ledbetter

First, assistant editor Cameron Albert-Deitch breaks down how Amazon lost a major federal court case earlier this month for selling a dog leash that partially blinded a woman in Pennsylvania. According to the ruling, the e-commerce behemoth could be held liable for any defective products sold through its third-party marketplace, which is bound to reverberate across all online commerce platforms.

Next, I talk about Prime Day, which this year brings 48 hours of nonstop shopping deals for more than 100 million Prime members. The fake holiday, which starts Monday July 15, also creates a halo effect for all other online retailers, boosting e-commerce sales across the board. Excluding the holiday season, Prime Day is on track to be the third biggest day for online sales after Memorial Day and Labor Day, according to a new report by Adobe Analytics.

Finally, senior editor Graham Winfrey is back on Inc. Uncensored to talk about the inside story behind Stone Brewing and its punk-rock beers, which include Arrogant Bastard Ale and Enter Night Pilsner, a collaboration with the heavy metal band Metallica. Turns out, founder Greg Koch actually created the top-selling Arrogant Bastard beer entirely by mistake.
