According to the ruling, the e-commerce behemoth could be held liable for any defective products sold through its third-party marketplace, which is bound to reverberate across all online commerce platforms.
Next, I talk about Prime Day, which this year brings 48 hours of nonstop shopping deals for more than 100 million Prime members. The fake holiday, which starts Monday July 15, also creates a halo effect for all other online retailers, boosting e-commerce sales across the board. Excluding the holiday season, Prime Day is on track to be the third biggest day for online sales after Memorial Day and Labor Day, according to a new report by Adobe Analytics.
