Every small-business owner wants employees who are motivated, hard-working, engaged, and loyal.

Wanting and getting are two different things, though--so how can you build the team you need? Pay and benefits are certainly important, but other factors make a huge difference.

For example, according to this survey 73 percent of working adults say flexibility is one of the most important factors they consider when looking for a new job or deciding which company to work for--and 39 percent have considered leaving or have left a job because it wasn't flexible enough.
