With this year's midterm elections happening today, now seems as good a time as any to check in with the CEOs on the Inc. 500, an annual ranking of the fastest-growing private U.S. companies, on their political views. According to our annual survey, the majority of respondents (39 percent) identify themselves as Republican, while 21 percent label themselves Independent. Only 16 percent identify as Democrat. Though minimum wage and pensions remain top of mind for many business owners, our respondents were mainly concerned with the Affordable Care Act, tax policy, immigration reform, and education. Entrepreneurs continue to need highly-skilled workers, as seen in those last two priorities.
