In actuality, especially at the beginning of your journey, focusing on a few key principles will provide all the momentum and clearance you need to go about accomplishing your daily goals.
Anything extra is only a distraction and unnecessary noise to your desired goal.
You're not falling short with your goals due to a lack of capability, the problem lies with the approach of how you're going about accomplishing these goals.

1. Look into your preparation
It's not the most exciting of things, but preparation is an absolute must. Apple, Google, Virgin, and numerous other companies didn't luckily become the global entities they are through random chance. Instead, they meticulously executed on their big vision through daily execution of small actions.
When it comes to your daily preparation, break your big dominoes down into manageable small actions that can be executed on a daily basis. These small actions eventually build up the big domino.
The next step is to start front-loading your work. While you can't predict all future events and obstacles, you can predict a couple of the more probable scenarios that could derail your progress.
In fitness, this could be healthy eating options on the go. In business, this could be generating consistent leads. By identifying the problem, you can create a solution in preparation for those events.
2. Are you chasing "shiny objects"?
Start this plan today, then start another one the next day, and then you find a new one to try the next day. Unfortunately, this is how many people approach their nutrition and business endeavors.
Another word for this is "shiny object syndrome". You start but never finish. Most nutrition plans will work just as most business plans will deliver. But, the secret to those plans working is allowing enough time to see the process come to fruition.
Just as a caterpillar doesn't morph into a butterfly instantaneously, your desired outcome won't come to fruition without daily commitment. Long term and sustainable results are birthed through consistency, repetition, and patience (i.e. time) executed on a daily level.
3. Are you prioritizing tactics over everything else?
In the health and fitness world, you will often see someone obsessive over whether to eat brown or jasmine rice, three meals a day or five meals a day along with numerous other nutritional minutiae.
And in the business world, people will obsess over logos, optimal funnels, webinars, Facebook pages, and other small tactics.
While these things can maybe make a one percent difference in certain people's circumstance, odds are, since you're not executing at a high level on a daily basis, these minute tactics are a distraction from where your focus needs to be.
These little things are icing on a cake. But, what's the point of worrying about icing on the cake if the cakes foundation is terrible? As you're going about your day, be ruthless on your fundamentals before looking to advance tactics.
In fitness, think to make good and consistent food choices before over analyzing about grains of rice or meal timing. In business, worry about creating a good product and service before funnels, webinars, and chat bots.
Don't major in the minutiae. But instead, focus on the small, but powerful actions to win the day consistently.
