In the depths of summer, I'm reminded of everything I intended to do this season, but also of all I've enjoyed. I just returned from 5 weeks in Asia, where my wife and I visited her native Vietnam, spent a week in perhaps the world's largest cave, Hang Son Doong, and explored the beauty of Thailand. Of course I'm behind on work, but that small challenge is well worth the adventure.

The first half of summer may have melted away in the heat, but don't panic. There's still time to accomplish what you intended and enjoy plenty of fun. Here are quotes to remind you to make the most of this glorious season:

1. "Summertime is always the best of what might be." -- Charles Bowden

Montgomery
