Mark Twain has been quoted as saying, "I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened."

Whether they are real or imagined fears, plenty of things keep small business owners up at night. An anonymous small business survey from online marketing company ReachLocal reveals just how common these worries are. 

For example, for many, their worst fear is ultimately going bankrupt. And with about 33,000 businesses filing for bankruptcy in 2013, it's a legitimate fear. However, to put that number into perspective, there are more than 28 million small businesses in the United States whose doors are open. 

ReachLocal has aggregated a list of some of the most common things troubling small businesses owners today, plus some tips on how to overcome those fears.
