There's both a social and mobile disconnect when it comes to the way employers recruit candidates today, according to Jobvite's 2014 Social Recruiting Survey. Jobvite, creator of a social recruiting platform, found that more than 90 percent of recruiters use or plan to use social media for hiring, but just 18 percent consider themselves to be experts at social recruiting.
And employers seem to be equally unprepared for attracting candidates via mobile. Forty-three percent of job seekers are searching on their mobile devices. Meanwhile, 59 percent of recruiters invest nothing in mobile career sites.
