Each new President creates a plan for "The First 100 Days". It sets the tone for an incoming President. The 100 Day Plan is a must for the leaders of the free world. As a leader of your business world, shouldn't you also have a 100 day plan to set the tone for your 2016 "term"?
If you want to reach your goals, you have to mentally see them and then physically write them down. Just seeing them is not sufficient -that is just s dream. Write down (or type) your goals to turn them into a plan. Writing your goals clarifies what you are trying to accomplish. Writing down goals forms a critical transition between simply being interested in a goal to being committed to them.
To facilitate critical thinking about your 100 Day Plan use an action tracker like the one found here. Doing so will help you identify clear accountability, stakeholders to coordinate with, start and end dates, necessary resources and status for each action.
To boost accountability for achieving your 100 Day Plan:
- Involve your team in developing the plan. We are committed to that which we help create.
- Keep it visible.... to you and to your team.
- Determine what you will do each day to execute each action, and do those tasks first!
- Maintain a meeting rhythm with your team to assess progress on each action.
- Coach performance to ensure your stay/get on track with your plan.
- Celebrate success with your team at 100 days.
And of course, on day 101, ensure you create plan for the next 100 days. Here's to starting strong in 2016!
