When she walked into the offices of eBay, the firm had 20 employees. When she left, it was a publicly-traded mega-company with offices all over the world and revenues of $8 billion. Next week, Meg Whitman, the former CEO of eBay--and one of the world's most influential women in business--will share the methodology she used to lead eBay to such high heights in a new book being release entitled, "The Power of Many: Values for Success in Business and in Life."

I'll be interviewing Ms. Whitman at The Harvard Club on behalf of The Harvard Business School Club of New York on Jan. 26. I'll find out how she feels about trust in an age of financial scandal and imploding business models. Plus, we'll learn how her experience in management and leadership will help her with her next big idea: to be the governor of California.
