I would like to take exception to Arthur L. Matschke's "Why America Is Losing the Technology War" (Speaking Out, March). I spent an afternoon reviewing a potential investment in Mr. Matschke's company. We, along with apparently many other companies, declined to invest in his company, but not, as he claims, because he refused to relinquish control. The company could not produce a business plan, financial projections, a management team, or even deliver promised information. So we saw no reason to invest.

There is plenty of risk capital available for passive investment in good emerging technology ventures. The market has apparently determined that Baudex is not such a venture.
