In confirming our figures for consideration of Bedford Computer as a candidate for the INC. 100, I provided information for 1977 that was incorrect. The 1977 sales figure should have been $649,000, not $126,000 as I reported. Sales for 1977 were restated, and I inadvertently gave you the wrong number.
Unfortunately, the May issue, featuring the 1982 INC. 100, had gone to press before the error was discovered. Based on the correct 1977 sales figure, Bedford Computer's five-year (1977-81) growth rate was 693% and the company should have been ranked No. 93 rather than No. 11.
