The article written by Arthur L. Matschke (Speaking Out, March) parallels an experience I have been living through for the past two and a half years. I can't help but wonder if we as a nation are destined to be followers of the Japanese in technological advancement.

Over two and a half years ago, we approached a major real estate conglomerate with our comprehensive real estate software package. The software was impressive enough to "excite" their sustained interest from the first look in 1980 through today. However, we are little closer to finalizing an agreement than we were two years ago.

If technological stagnation is to be reversed, gaints such as these must learn the art of decision making.
