"Advice to Business: Stop Listening to Advisers" (May) was a little one-sided in that it seems to suggest that ego/intuition is a more professional approach to a business than experience/information.

Although it is certainly true that there are all grades of advisers and consultants, those of us who are Certified Management Consultants feel quite confident the value of our services the way Mr. Samuels does.

Furthermore, most, if not all, of the traits that he suggests are also found in successful management consultants. However, I am not sure we would consider it a desirable trait to be "bordering on arrogance."
