Your article "Secrets of Intrapreneurship" (January) said that the "concept may well enter the business mainstream, joining 'excellence' and 'corporate culture' in the lexicon of the modern manager." I hope not! Perhaps the last thing corporate America needs is another buzz-word running around to invite superficial treatment of a most important management topic. As a business development consultant, entrepreneur, and former intra-corporate entrepreneur, I share Mr. Pinchot's sense of opportunity. However, I remind interested companies that entrepreneurship is not a mainstream phenomenon, and advise them to work quietly at top management levels to build a productive tolerance for innovation into their individual corporate environments.
