In October 1983, Corr's Natural Beverages Inc. had the good fortune to be sued by Coors (Adolph) Co. for trademark infringement. The $6-million Chicago natural soft-drinks company eventually reached on out-of-court settlement with the $1.1-billion brewery, but not before major newspapers, magazines, and "The CBS Evening News" had covered the battle. "Consumer awareness was incredible," says co-founder Sharon Corr. "We figure we got about $4 million worth of free advertising."
