Chewy, the online pet retailer that ranked No. 605 on the 2019 Inc. 5000, has promised 24/7 customer service since launching in 2011. It almost broke that promise when Hurricane Irma tore through Florida in 2017. "There was no way we were gonna tell our customers, 'Sorry, there's a hurricane,' " says co-founder Ryan Cohen of his decision to outrun the storm.
