Today, CRM software company Salesforce unveiled an updated version of Chatter, its social collaboration platform. Chatter 2 lets users filter their Chatter Feed by people, groups, and records. Users can now assign hashtags to posts and comments and search across every Chatter feed, file, profile, update, and comment for information on a particular customer or keyword. Chatter Desktop also allows users to post updates, comments, files, and links without opening a Web browser. The software will be available in October at no additional charge for paid subscribers of Salesforce CRM and Force.com.
