IBM (NYSE:IBM) has unveiled a suite of systems software, hardware, and best practices to help companies reduce energy consumption by using fewer servers and more effectively manage their existing IT environments.

The company's new software solutions allow customers to easily deploy, virtualize, manage, and upgrade their systems. The POWER6 processor-based IBM BladeCenter JS22 Express systems feature the world’s fastest microprocessor. They offer virtualization, performance and reliability in an efficient, low-cost Blade format. The new Availability Factory allows qualified customers to receive a free assessment of how to implement their own roadmaps while moving to the new energy-efficient systems.
POWER6 processor-based Blade systems will be available later this month starting at $10,363.
