HP (NYSE:HPQ) has unveiled new software and services designed to help businesses streamline IT operations and automate the full lifecycle of managing business services. HP Automated Operations 1.0, an integrated set of products that automates IT operations across all technology and organizational domains, will eliminate labor-intensive, ad hoc and error-prone manual processes and, in turn, help lower operational costs.

The new suite of products includes IT Service Management, Business Service Management and Business Service Automation solutions. The company has also launched its new Business Service Automation software, a single platform to automate all IT processes and drive change across applications, servers, networks, storage and clients; and upgraded its IT Service Management software by adding features that offer best practices through blueprints, training and assessments.

The IT Service Management solution's enhanced HP Service Manager 7.0, which offers accelerated problem detection and resolution, is available for standard purchase, as well as on demand over the Internet.
