These include new features for its Business Communication Manager (BCM) 50, as well as new IP phones, an advanced paging and text-messaging application suite, and a comprehensive cordless digital phone system.

Nortel's BCM50 customers can upgrade their system to include SIP trunking for more cost-effective service provider access, advanced conferencing and reporting features. The IP Phone 1200 Series comes programmed with the most commonly used telephony features, such as autodial, conference, and messaging. The advanced Paging Productivity Pack features a suite of paging and text-messaging software applications for BCM. The Business Series Terminal T7406E features a new cordless digital phone for Norstar and BCM with a range of up to 1000 feet.

Customers with Norstar key systems can reuse existing equipment as they shift to IP telephony and converged communications with BCM50, saving up to 70 percent of their original investment.
