Comerica Bank (NYSE:CMA)  has announced the opening of six new banking centers in Arizona and California by year-end. The new centers will serve retail and small-business customers in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties and greater Phoenix.

Comerica opened five new offices between mid-October and mid-December in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. One of the new banking centers, in Cerritos, is targeting the high number of Asian-American customers and business owners in the community. The bank hired a multilingual staff, fluent in Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Tagalog, as well as Spanish. It also used a feng shui consultant for the interior.

"These new offices - some of them in new markets - are helping us grow in the West," Mike Fulton, president and CEO of Comerica Bank's Western Market, said in a statement. "These new locations help us implement our long-term strategy that focuses on serving the growing numbers of business banking, small business, wealth management, and retail customers in Arizona and California."
