Dec. 18, 2006 -- The National Federation of Independent Business is applauding a move to ease oil-storing regulations for small businesses, the Washington-based lobby said on Monday.

Early last week, the Environmental Protection Agency finalized a rule allowing small businesses that store fewer than 10,000 gallons of oil to self-certify their oil-spill prevention and containment efforts, rather than hiring an outside engineer.
