Feb. 15, 2007 -- A new Web-based tool from Panda Software of Glendale, Calif., detects malware threats that slip past traditional anti-malware programs, the company said.

Malware Radar detects malware in 76 percent of networks audited even though they had security software in place, the company said.

In order to constantly improve its detection ratio, Malware Radar uses a "collective intelligence" approach, centrally collecting and storing behavioral patterns of programs, file traces, and examples of new malware programs, the company said.
