The Great Lakes Entrepreneur's Quest has launched its eighth-annual business plan competition and training program for entrepreneurs working in Michigan's technology sector.

The program is designed to help technology and life sciences entrepreneurs develop successful business plans. The group, which provides coaching, mentoring and investor feedback to Michigan entrepreneurs, has partnered with the Michigan Small Business Technology & Development Center to offer two phases of training courses on the topic of drafting business plans.

The first phase of the competition begins this month and will focus on how to develop an executive summary. Winners will receive up to $25,000 in cash prizes. The competition and supplemental training is open to all Michigan residents and business owners. For more information, visit www.gleq.org.
