One thing businesspeople do is travel, and much of this travel takes place via airlines. In fact, Americans log more than 452 million business trips each year, a significant number of which involve air travel.
While low prices are always a big plus when it comes to air travel, airline safety records are understandably even more important for travelers.
AirlineRatings.com recently published a survey of the top-20 safest airlines in the world. This survey drew from airline fatality records, operational histories, past incidents, and government audits. Is your favorite airline on the list?
#1 Qantas (for the third year in a row)
The remaining 19 airlines on the top-20 safest airlines list were provided by AirlineRatings.com in alphabetical, not rank order. Notably missing from the top-20 list is U.S. carrier Delta Air Lines.
