Lauren Sato joined RealSelf a year ago, not to solve an existing crisis, but to get ahead of scaling the culture as the company prepares for significant growth. RealSelf empowers employees to be their most confident selves, both at work and in their personal lives, through company-sponsored classes, events, and workshops. Mindfulness workshops, career mentoring services, and “Yoga Friday” classes are just a few of the recent events RealSelf employees have taken advantage of. RealSelf fosters a culture of recognition by providing real-time praise and thanks to the co-workers who make coming to the office every day worth it. RealSelf started using a platform tool that allows employees to create and send “praises” to their co-workers, which now happens on a daily basis. Employees are committed to bringing confidence to others, and come together to support company giving efforts, both globally and within our local community. Local giving efforts include back-to-school drives for backpacks, assembling bagged lunches for local shelters, winter coat and glove drives, and support for cancer patients and their families.
