Private plane operators list their aircraft on Aeronux's online platform, paying the company a 20 percent cut of the fare for each flight they book. Aeronux also licenses its flight-booking platform to charter-jet companies. Kambiz Khadem, an Iranian immigrant who also works at tech firm Perficient, co-founded the company in 2012. (He declined to name the company’s two other co-founders or any of Aeronux’s customers.) In 2018, Aeronux applied to the Federal Aviation Administration to become a licensed charter-plane operator.
