WHY WE THINK WE'RE A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

CEO Jessica Rovello has based Arkadium's culture on three important tenets: "Fierce Drive," "Positive Energy," and "Living a Full Life." Each office has a "joy team" of volunteer employees that meets weekly to plan events. The company celebrates big wins through company parties and more, and "li'l wins" (that tie meaning and satisfaction to everyday tasks) through a dedicated Post-it wall and section in their weekly meeting. Rovello also makes sure the company does everything possible to contribute to its employees' financial security. In addition to paying above market, offering 401(k), profit sharing, and employee ownership plans, Arkadium has a robust lunch-and-learn program that includes sessions on personal/financial health and management. Arkadium's commitment to a positive culture is exemplified by the way it handled the 2014 Crimean crisis. It valued people over profits, and relocated 60 employees and their families to help them rebuild their lives after the Russian annexation.

We are a truly unique workplace where opinions are encouraged, and careers are developed. There is a total request live (TRL) segment for the in-office music sound system, that is updated daily. Beer cart and early outs happen every Friday, while Free Lunch Friday happens monthly. We celebrate every employee's birthday and work anniversary with screen recognition and a dessert for the office. We have quickly become family to our employees, as we take on new risks and challenges internally and externally. The atmosphere is collaborative and fast-paced.

Winning is what drives us. This is in our manifesto. In fact, the entire first page of our manifesto is about winning: "We'll consistently push you to be better, to get better, to be the best--and then we'll define a new best. If you're not hungry every month, quarter, or year-end to be better than you were the last month, quarter, and year then we're not the company for you." 

We apply this by setting stretch goals that we are laser focused on achieving. We take the time to celebrate our victories off-site and, as a team, every quarter. It is important to recognize the individual victories contributing to the organizational wins.

We strive to acquire the best of the best, but we don't stop there. We fully embrace the workhard, play hard mentality. We make sure our employees not only have great careers, but great lives. Work is challenging, so we make sure it's fun. We place importance on team-building events and giving back to the community. We believe giving back inspires purpose and supporting a cause creates a sense of community. We cultivate a culture where accomplishments are recognized and celebrated. We embrace these values because they make us unique, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
