WHY WE'RE A BEST PLACE TO WORK

Spikeball operates under the philosophy that a healthy work-life balance is the key to a happy workforce and a successful company, and this is engrained in our culture. Spikeball offers its employees health benefits, unlimited vacation, remote work, biannual retreats (which are more like five-day bonding vacations), gym and cellphone stipends, and more. We believe in a work hard, rest often mentality. Spikeball invests careful thought into ensuring that the company puts culture and employees' needs and wants above all.

We operate with two core goals: to be the best place to buy travel insurance and the best place to work. Despite a 90 percent decrease in sales, we kept our entire staff working full hours, at full pay, with no layoffs through the pandemic. We require all employees to take at least 10 vacation days per year, not including sick days, personal days, or birthdays, which come with a $200 beer bonus. Prior to the pandemic, employees would gather for fun events and happy hours.

WHY WE THINK WE'RE A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

At Stable|kernel, our executive team has created many programs and internal/external company activities to ensure we foster a culture that employees are excited to be a part of. To us, culture is more than our dog-friendly office or our flexible work hours, but an environment for sharing and encouraging the values we've worked hard to ingrain in our people. We take field trips each quarter to create a deeper understanding of our values and what makes our company an awesome place to work.
