Bombas is a comfort-focused, premium basics brand with a mission to help those in need. The company was originally founded in 2013 because socks are the #1 most requested clothing item at homeless shelters. Underwear and t-shirts are #2 and #3 respectively. While the brand started with and is known for its extremely comfortable socks, Bombas used its expertise in comfort to launch into apparel with t-shirts in 2019 and most recently, underwear in 2021. For every item purchased, a specially-designed item is donated to the homeless community. To date, Bombas has donated more than 50 million items to those at-risk, in need, and experiencing homelessness.

WHY WE THINK WE'RE A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

We empower our employees to be at their very best and help them to believe in themselves. We let them take time to align professional and personal goals and trust our team members to get their work done. Need to work from home to watch your children for a day? We understand, no problem. Had a great month and want to head out early on a Friday to go skiing up north for the weekend? Go for it, you earned it. Need come in late due to a doctor's appointment? We've all been there.

Knowing that socks are the most requested item in shelters, e-tailer Bombas has long donated them and other garments to the unhoused with each customer purchase. During the pandemic, Bombas leveraged relationships with other like-minded companies to spearhead donations of 300 sheets, 430,000 bars of soap, and 10,000 individually wrapped snacks. It also donated 50,000 pairs of supportive socks to doctors and nurses at nearly 200 hospitals nationwide and volunteered critically needed items, including over 113,500 pairs of socks and T-shirts, to the Food Bank of New York City, the Doctors Without Borders mobile shower program, the Department of Homeless Services, NYC’s Jacob Javits Center, and the USNS Comfort. This year, the company also made five $50,000 donations to organizations working to combat racial injustice.
