MicroHealth is a Best Place to Work because it is an organization that is committed to people. Executives ensure employees are provided the best information to make the best decisions for their job. In the kitchen, employees have access to a variety of snacks, quick lunch options, coffees, juices, soda and water. Down the hall, there is a TV and game console to allow employees to take a break and clear their mind when needed. Additionally, as a small organization, the executives are heavily involved with the day to day operations and are always accessible and willing to provide their expertise to anyone that asks. Employees are also able to learn, grow and more importantly, cross train if they prefer. There are times when one may feel stagnant in their role, want to learn another job because of its increased demand, or just interested in expanding their personal knowledge. Ten years ago, when we started Vivayic, we didn't know much about building a company, we just knew that we had a passion for learning, how people learning, and empowering people thru learning. At the time, we didn't think much about how we wanted to operate our business; we just knew we would operate with integrity and a commitment to excellence. As we began to grow and hire employees, we started to realize how important culture was, especially in our virtual environment. We also realized very quickly, we had to be intentional about our culture in order to create a place where we all wanted to work. We created a set of three guiding principles by which all of employees operate and why we believe we are a Best Place to Work. The first principle is "live our core values daily", with each other and with our clients. The second guiding principle is "build a rockstar environment", which means all employees show-up and take responsibility for their work. The third guiding principle is "grow with an iron sharpens iron mentality", which means we all contribute to each other and make each other better.
