You've noticed lately that you somehow seem to have everything going against you -- in both your personal and professional life. You have disgruntled clients and overdue bills to pay. In the meantime, all your stress is affecting your relationships with other people. It can get overwhelming. I know because I have been there.

When you're building success as an entrepreneur or a marketer, you may face a number of challenges along the way. Sometimes it may get too difficult that you feel like everything is working against you. You may even feel like giving up at times. But instead, use these tips so you can start attracting success and thrive in your field.

Pause for a moment

If you start thinking about all the problems that you're currently facing, it's only natural that you're going to feel overwhelmed. As cliche as it may sound, you need to stop and take a deep breath for a few minutes. This will clear your mind and help you become more focused. Close your eyes, take a deep breath through your nose, and then breathe out through your mouth. According to Harvard, deep breathing can evoke a relaxation response that relieves stress.

Write it all down

Your brain may be able to store plenty of information, but there's only so much it can do. So when you're trying to find a solution for all the issues you're currently facing, it's only going to stress you out if you're trying to process everything in your mind. Instead, write it all down so you can clearly focus on what's important and lay out a plan to deal with it.

Make a note of all the challenges you're facing -- whether it's to do with bills, clients, employees, or personal relationships. Note down what you think can help you overcome the issue and what you can do at that moment. So the list would comprise of the following:

  • Challenge

  • Possible solution

  • Action to take

For example, a client is unhappy with the results of your service. This would be listed as the challenge.

Try to find out and make a note of what you think would appease them. You can get a lot of clues in how they communicate with you. Maybe they keep talking about how they didn't get their money's worth or how the results weren't as expected. So the possible solution here would be to ensure that they get their money's worth or deliver better results.

And the action you should take would involve asking the client for another chance to prove yourself and help them get a better result. If that doesn't work, your plan B action would be to offer them a partial refund or discount.

Writing everything down will help you identify which issues you should prioritize on. It will also help you come up with a realistic plan of action instead of pointlessly stressing out over everything all at once.

Be positive

Finally, you need to build a positive mindset if you want to attract positivity into your life. This too may sound like a cliché but there's logic behind it. When you think positively, you will be capable of focusing on all the possibilities even in a difficult situation. For example, you may encounter a disgruntled client. But with a positive mindset you can see that this is the perfect opportunity for you to prove how well you can handle a bad situation and turn it better.

If you're thinking negatively, on the other hand, you'll only be focusing on all the negative aspects of the situation. You may think about why this is happening to you and why the client is being so difficult. You may even start stressing out about how this could ruin your reputation. So not only will you be distracted from finding a solution, you could end up lashing out at the client. This could then result in a ruined reputation for you.

With practice, you can learn to embrace a more positive mindset. This will eventually help you find opportunities amidst difficulties and eventually become successful.

Conclusion

These are the steps you need to take if you want to start attracting success. It's important to clear your head every once in awhile and learn to focus on what matters. Instead of stressing out over every minor issue, you need to start focusing your energy on finding a solution and fighting for it.
