Albert Einstein famously said, “I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” For small business owners, staying curious can have remarkable payoffs.
Harvard Business Review reports that people with a higher “curiosity quotient” (CQ) are more inquisitive and generate more original ideas, and over time, this “thinking style” leads to higher levels of knowledge acquisition. CQ, the author states, “is the ultimate tool to produce simple solutions for complex problems.”
So, remain curious, and ask questions about what’s going on around you. Why do we do things this way? Is there a better way? What are my customers thinking? Write down your questions and look into the answers. Being curious helps you continue to learn-;which is good for both you and your business.
