Cleveland may be cynically referred to as the "Mistake on the Lake," but there's no mistaking the city's rapid economic growth. A national leader in manufacturing--largely due to its proximity to Lake Erie, as well as major railways--Cleveland is currently home to big corporations like Sherwin-Williams and American Greetings. It's also home to 53 of America's fast-growing, private companies in sectors ranging from health care to IT services and real estate.

To determine its list of the fastest-growing, private companies in the U.S., Inc. tabulated the companies' revenue growth rate between fiscal years 2010 and 2013. Here's a quick look at the top 10 fastest-growing companies in C-Town: 

10. Predictive Service

With offices in North and South America, Europe and Asia, Predictive Service reeled in $14.2 million in 2013, a full 120 percent uptick from 2010. The performance landed the facility maintenance service provider the No. 2,994 position on the 2014 Inc. 5000. The company provides a variety of expert services for its clients, inspecting electrical and mechanical equipment using techniques such as infrared and oil analysis. Helmed by CEO Donald Frankel, Predictive Service is now an eight-time Inc. 5000 honoree. Quite a feat for the 12-year-old company. 

9. Ohio Real Title Agency

This title agency has seen rapid growth since it was founded back in 2005. Ohio Real Title Agency processes title transfers in all 88 Ohio counties, and it makes its debut appearance on the Inc. 5000 this year. Under the leadership of CEO Manbir Sandhu, the agency brought in $6.3 million in sales last year, compared to $2.7 million in 2010. That revenue growth rate puts the company at No. 2,816 on the Inc. 5000. 

8. Asurint

A leading IT services company in the Cleveland metro area, Asurint develops products used in drug testing and background screening. Another first-time Inc. 5000 company, Asurint saw a 146 percent uptick in annual revenue between fiscal years 2010 and 2013, from $6.5 million to $15.9 million over the period. Headed by president and co-founder Gregg Gay, Asurint has evidently been fulfilling its promise to get the job done. It's No. 2,581 on the Inc. 5000.

7. Vox Mobile

Catering to more than 900 companies worldwide as of 2013, Vox Mobile offers technology planning, management, and support services. Ranked No. 2,580 on the Inc. 5000, Vox is run by CEO and founder Kris Snyder, an entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in the tech and software industries. Vox Mobile increased its annual revenue by more than 146 percent between fiscal years 2010 and 2013, solidly earning its spot as the seventh fastest growing, Cleveland-based, private company.

6. LeanDog 

Making its fourth appearance on Inc.'s list this year, LeanDog provides software and coaching for companies undergoing organizational transitions. Founded just six years ago, LeanDog has experienced particularly rapid growth over the past three years, with $5.8 million in annual revenue last year, placing it as No. 2,553 on the Inc. 5000. The company is headed by CEO Jon Stahl.

5. Bravo Wellness

One of a number of Cleveland based health care companies, Bravo Wellness provides program consulting and health insurance administration to businesses, individuals, and health insurance companies alike. It makes its second appearance on the Inc. 5000 this year, with CEO Jim Pshock, the company's founder, still at the helm. He also serves on the national HERO committee, an advocacy group that explores how wellness is adopted in workplaces. Pshock has overseen the company's massive growth between fiscal years 2010 and 2013, reeling in $19.7 million in revenue last year alone. That makes Bravo No. 1,853 on the Inc. 5000.

4. Insight2Profit

Insight2Profit delivers pricing expertise and technology to B2B companies, clocking in at No. 1,631 on the Inc. 5000, as well as No. 4 on the Cleveland short list. Founded just six years ago by CEO Ryan White, the IT company increased its annual revenue by more than 260 percent between 2010 and 2013, bringing in $9.3 million in sales last year.

3. Accurate Group  

As the fastest growing, private real estate company based in Cleveland, Accurate Group offers title and appraisal services to real estate finance providers across the globe. The company is headed by CEO Paul Doman, who joined Accurate Group in 2009 and has overseen its impressive revenue growth rate since. The company brought in $66.4 million last year, a near 300 percent increase from 2010--landing Accurate Group at No. 1,428 on the Inc. 5000.

2. Cleveland HeartLab

Cleveland HeartLab--which was developed out of the Cleveland Clinic in 2009--is now the fastest growing, private health care company in the metro area. It specializes in cardiovascular care, providing testing and analysis in order to identify and reduce cardiovascular inflammation. The HeartLab makes its first appearance on the Inc. 5000 this year--coming in at No. 543 on the overall list. Headed by Jake Orville, HeartLab's co-founder and CEO, the company reeled in $27 million in sales in 2013, an 883 percent increase from 2010. 

1. Content Marketing Institute

Now a three-time Inc. 5000 honoree, Content Marketing Institute helps enterprise brands to better attract their customers, hosting an annual Content Marketing World event in both the U.S. and Australia. The company is headed by CEO Joe Pulizzi, and has grown rapidly in recent years. The company's annual revenue increased by more than 1,000 percent, landing CMI the No. 460 spot on the Inc. 5000. It's currently the fastest growing, private company based in Cleveland, as well as the seventh fastest growing media company on the Inc. 5000.
